The entry-level “Your Cloud” package includes essentials like unlimited cold storage, signal discovery, protocol mapping, data standardization, edge dashboards, and historical API access. Stepping up, the “Nortech Cloud Basic” package adds capabilities such as virtual sensors, analytics tools, a customer portal, cloud dashboards, and live API. The most advanced tier, “Nortech Cloud Advanced,” provides digital twin models, predictive analytics, regulatory compliance modules, performance analytics, asset management, and broad integrations with ERP, third-party solutions, and IT/operational systems. Each package builds upon the previous one, allowing companies to scale up functionalities as their data maturity and business needs grow. 

Nortech AI has successfully raised a €2.5 million seed round led by Indico Capital Partners and Earlybird-X, marking a significant milestone in its mission to drive data-driven transformation within the maritime industry. Stephan Morais, Managing General Partner at Indico Capital Partners, stated:

Partnership
Nortech AI has established several strategic partnerships to strengthen its capabilities and expand its reach. One of its key collaborations is with Telenor Maritime, where Nortech combines its expertise in data and AI with Telenor’s connectivity infrastructure to drive maritime digitalization improving operational efficiency, decision-making, and sustainability. (nortech.ai) Another important partnership is with Jungle AI, aimed at enhancing predictive maintenance capabilities, enabling vessel operators to detect and address potential equipment issues before they escalate through proactive data-driven insights. (nortech.ai) In addition, Nortech AI collaborates with Arkitech to optimize energy consumption in onboard HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems. This partnership integrates Arkitech’s AI-based software platform with Nortech’s data collection capabilities, reducing HVAC energy usage while maintaining comfort and performance onboard. 

Case Study

Nortech AI’s real-world impact is best illustrated through several case studies across diverse maritime applications. One example is UPTIME International, a leading gangway system provider that initially lacked digital infrastructure for data collection, visualization, or integration. Nortech built a tailored digital ecosystem, embedding its IIoT platform into UPTIME’s control systems to enable data-driven operations. By collecting real-time sensor data such as pressures, movements, and positions and developing predictive models to monitor bumper wear, Nortech helped UPTIME shorten testing cycles, improve gangway safety, and even create new data-driven service offerings for clients.

Another success story comes from Frydenbø Industri, which needed a solution to store and analyze data from its “Dyno engine brake” and “Engine Performance” systems. Before Nortech’s involvement, data was only displayed locally, making it difficult to assess long-term performance trends. Nortech implemented a cloud-based solution and intuitive dashboards to visualize key metrics like RPM, pressure, and running hours. With automated alerts and historical data access via Frydenbø’s “Forward Digital Hub,” engineers can now identify engine issues early, optimize performance, and enhance reliability  providing added value to both internal teams and customers.

Finally, Coral Expeditions, a luxury expedition cruise operator, turned to Nortech AI to improve operational transparency and ensure accurate, real-time vessel data. Nortech integrated its platform across two vessels, streaming live data to the cloud and building customized dashboards that display performance KPIs. During deployment, the company detected and resolved data inconsistencies in coordination with the control system manufacturer, improving data accuracy and reliability. Today, Coral Expeditions enjoys greater confidence in its operational data, enabling proactive decision-making and reduced operational risks, with plans underway for deeper API integrations and virtual sensors tailored to its fleet.
