Albacore’s portfolio currently centers on Ghostfin. In terms of how Ghostfin works, the vehicle uses a combination of in house designed, scalable components and off-the-shelf parts to maintain cost-efficiency. It likely uses autonomy software to carry out missions, navigating via acoustic and possibly surface communication when needed, though detailed technical specs are still under wraps in public sources.

The advantages of Albacore’s technology include exceptional endurance and range, with the ability to travel up to 1,000 nautical miles, significantly exceeding many current UUVs. Angels and advisors reportedly include the founders of Dive Technologies (later acquired by Anduril) and other leaders in the UUV space. These ties could help Albacore scale its technology rapidly and align with major defense programs.
